Stacey Mason

Stacey Mason spent 18 years at Walmart Stores, Inc.  That time encompassed significant roles in Logistics Operations, Global Supply Chain, Enterprise Inventory Management, Merchandising and Replenishment, both from a field and home office capacity.  Time spent in those varied disciplines uniquely positioned her for visionary roles held in Corporate Leadership Development, Executive Development, and Culture Coaching.  She had full responsibility for the Walton Institute, Walmart's flagship Culture program, with direct lines of communication to the Executive Committee (CEO and top 25 leaders of the enterprise), for the last several years of her tenure.

Stacey has since founded Mason On Leadership, a leadership consultancy that largely focuses on behavioral assessments and executive coaching.  Her Improve Thru Improv® platform merges business acumen with applied improvisation principles to “play with how you think!”.

Prior to her years spent in corporate America, Stacey was highly involved in the sport of gymnastics, both as a competitor and as a coach for pre-Olympic competitive gymnasts.  She also coached at Bela Karolyi World Gymnastics Camps.

Stacey is a charter member of an Improv troupe named Sock Monkey.  Since 2009, she has trained with various actor-teams in this profession, including Roving Imp out of Kansas City, Jimmy Carrane of Improv Nerd, and Second City in Chicago.

Stacey graduated magna cum laude from the University of Texas with a Bachelors of Business Administration.  In addition, she holds multiple certifications including The Birkman Method - Senior Consultant, Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), and PDI 360.  She is also well versed in several Emotional Intelligence instruments.

Stacey is a columnist for several B2B publications, writing about thought leadership.  She is also a published writer, having contributed client stories for a business and leadership book titled “The Birkman Method:  Your Personality at Work” by Sharon Birkman-Fink and Stephanie Capparell.  (Jossey-Bass, May 2013)

Stacey is a long distance trail runner and an avid reader.  She is currently learning to play the piano.
